Words cannot describe this day (but of course I'm going to make a lame attempt anyway). Lindsay is an old friend and a beautiful woman straight out of old Hollywood, and she married one of the kindest, most sincere people I've ever met. I was so excited to fly to Seattle to shoot their wedding because it meant A) a week with them B) a week with old friends from high school and C) two very knowledgeable tour guides - Brandon is a local and met Lindsay when they were in college together at Seattle Pacific. Not only was everything absolutely lovely, but Lindsay is a serious DIY queen and pulled this whole thing off in a few short months and, seemingly, without being stressed at all. And Wild Rose is an incredible venue! This whole day was full of beauty.
A quick stop at Taco Time after the hair appointment :)
Aren't these flowers AMAZING? Fun story : we went to Pike Place Market with buckets the day before the wedding and picked everything out. Her bridesmaids and assorted friends helped put together the bouquets (let me repeat that - the DAY BEFORE. How awesome is that?)
Lindsay is a librarian, and our good friend Chris (who was a "brides-man") makes the most fabulous wedding cakes. It was a match made in heaven :) The cake table was unreal! And yes, that is a gigantic cupcake-shaped cake.
A few pirate cupcake wrappers for Brandon...
Jars of honey for favors...
LOVE this ring book!
A bluegrass band played as the guests filtered in...
Brandon's brother made a handsome ring bearer.
The tears flowed as Lindsay walked down the aisle...
... which was lined with herbs picked from Brandon's parents' garden :)
When Lindsay & Brandon sang together during the ceremony, everyone cried.
I LOVED these artistically-folded books!
They cut the cake with a machete. They are that cool.
Lindsay & Brandon - I love you guys so much. Thank you thank you thank you for letting me be a part of your amazing day!
Also, stay tuned for their day-after session (location - EVERYWHERE in Seattle :) coming soon!
