As many of you know, I LOVE LOVE LOVE shooting video, and we had a total blast shooting our road trip styled shoot with some of my senior models a while back. Evin is the coolest. We connected immediately over our love of travel, especially Africa - she spent some time in Tanzania this summer :) I was so excited to see that she brought a Maasai wrap to use in her shoot! Oh yes and we also managed to witness the most epic rainbow ever :)
So this is one of my favorite shoots ever.A couple of times a year, I put together styled shoots with a few of my senior models - styled shoots are a blast, because they give me a chance to put my creativity towards something of my choosing, without having to worry about meeting requirements for a yearbook photo, and they're just as fun for my senior models, who get to be a part of fun, non-traditional projects at no extra charge, just for being a part of the senior model program! We had SO much fun during this session - can you believe none of these girls had met before? Natural actors, I tell ya :)
We will be opening up registration for the senior model program early this year, so if you're a girl and a current junior (CLASS OF 2015), keep an eye out for application details, coming soon :)
This session and these images have been pulling at my heartstrings a little bit - we shot the session in Lyons just a few weeks before this fall's historic floods pretty much wiped out the entire town. It's still crazy to think that such a wonderful place that I've loved visiting and photographing for years has drastically changed forever. Oh, Lyons, how I love you. Although I normally specialize in senior girls, when Ore asked if she could bring her twin brother to her senior session, I couldn't say no. We had a fantastic day finding all kinds of gorgeous locations for their Denver senior portraits. Thanks guys!
