Blair and Jared got married at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. They like to drink whiskey with me. I think they are so cool.
Love this shot of Blair's dad seeing her for the first time:
You guys are just pure fun. Congratulations!

Tres & Emily are pretty much the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They, and anyone who I spoke to, from the bridal party to their families, was kind, relaxed, and eager to help each other - almost fighting over helping each other! I loved it. "Can I get you a glass of water?" "No, but can I get YOU a glass of water?"
I LOVED this wedding. The whole day was just lovely. Emily has the grace and beauty of an old school movie star, and Tres is so warm and friendly, and I instantly was treated like one of the family. What a wonderful day!
One of the readings during the ceremony was from Emily's grandmother's copy of The Prophet, by Kahlil Gibran (one of my favorite texts, BTW) - with her grandmother's old, old pressed flowers still inside! If you aren't familiar with Gibran's work, please, please check it out. It's lovely:
"You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore. You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days. Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God. But let there be spaces in your togetherness, And let the winds of heavens dance between you.
Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone, Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow."
Em - your beauty is overwhelming. Seriously.
Love this handmade arch!
Em & Tres - you guys are amazing! Hope to hang out soon :)
You may remember Sarah & Ross from their sweet springtime engagement session. They recently got married at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort, and although it was quite windy, their day was lovely! I loved Sarah's choice of yellows and grays. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding :)
I was so thrilled that Sarah & Ross decided to do a First Look! It makes the entire day go so much more smoothly :)
The groomsmen wore some of Ross' old wrestling medals:
I love this shot of Sarah trying to calm her nerves right before the ceremony:
Then the dance floor got CRAAZZYY. The only other people I've met who are able to throw a dance party this good are my friends in BV ... I might just be a little biased :)
Even this little dude got in on it :
Thanks so much, Sarah & Ross! The rest of your images will be ready VERY soon! :)
Part two of Matt & Sara's excellent wedding on a beautiful, snowy day at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs! I loved the cap guns as they were pronounced husband & wife (they also made for a very interesting reception :)
You know me - the guns were my favorite part!
I love how crazy fun it got on the dance floor...

Sara & Matt had a projector set up to play snowboarding videos during the reception - great idea!
Thanks so much, you guys! What a fun, beautiful day. You're wonderful and I completely enjoyed shooting your wedding :)
Ryan and Rachel Evans' amazing wedding from last summer has been used for Mt. Princeton Hot Springs' profile listing on Wedding Sites & Services, which is a great resource for everything wedding-related. If you're planning a wedding in the Buena Vista / Salida area and need a venue, be sure to check out Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Zelma, the events coordinator, is wonderful and will take great care of you. Everyone I've ever interacted with there has been great to work with, and I love shooting there. It's a great venue for family reunions, too! Thanks, Mt. Princeton, for the photo feature!http://www.weddingsitesandservices.com/Colorado/ReceptionSites/Mountains/Colorado/Nathrop/MountPrincetonHotSpringsResort.html
