rachel & daniel (boulder engagement photography)
Rachel and I have been talking and making plans for months, and I was so glad to finally meet her, Daniel, and their sweet son when we all got together for their engagement session. Roy at St. Vrain Winery in Berthoud was kind enough to let us wander his property and, with thanks to Jessica from A Vintage Affair and this gorgeous light I thought only existed in Southern California, this session went off flawlessly. To make it even sweeter, Roy treated us to a wine tasting in his barn after the session! Sounds like the perfect evening to me :)
Right about now, their son said, “Mom, I think the dragonflies are all getting sick of watching you kissing!”
Check out this lovely vintage vineyard picnic, styled by A Vintage Affair:
Rachel, you are stunning!
Rachel & Daniel – you guys are great! Thank you! I can’t wait for next summer’s wedding :)

chandra & jeff’s denver wedding reception (denver wedding photographer)
Okay, here comes part three of Chandra & Jeff’s epic wedding week – their fabulous reception at the Skyline Ballroom at the Courtyard Mariott in Denver!
I love it when couples hire a photo booth – it means tons of great funky props gradually make their way on to the dance floor :)
This is why I love Chandra.
Thanks again for everything, guys! It’s been so wonderful getting to know you :)

casidy & tyler (denver engagement photographer)
Casidy & Tyler are engaged, and I can’t wait for their wedding next year at Devil’s Thumb Ranch! We had so much fun shooting their engagement session at a few of their favorite spots around downtown Denver. Cadisy is paying a lot of attention to detail in her wedding planning, and I can’t wait to see the results of her Anthropologie- inspired planning!
Love this cute look of exasperation :)
These reflection shots turned out to be some of my favorites:
Casidy, you’re gorgeous!
We stopped for ice cream at Little Man in The Highlands
We had this great idea for a ring shot on the top of Tyler’s waffle cone…
But I didn’t really think it through all the way. So sad :(
Then on to one of their (and my!) favorite bookstores, the fabulous Tattered Cover:
Yay! Thanks, you guys, for such a fun shoot – I can’t wait for the wedding! :)

lindsay & brandon (seattle wedding photographer)
Words cannot describe this day (but of course I’m going to make a lame attempt anyway). Lindsay is an old friend and a beautiful woman straight out of old Hollywood, and she married one of the kindest, most sincere people I’ve ever met. I was so excited to fly to Seattle to shoot their wedding because it meant A) a week with them B) a week with old friends from high school and C) two very knowledgeable tour guides – Brandon is a local and met Lindsay when they were in college together at Seattle Pacific. Not only was everything absolutely lovely, but Lindsay is a serious DIY queen and pulled this whole thing off in a few short months and, seemingly, without being stressed at all. And Wild Rose is an incredible venue!
This whole day was full of beauty.
A quick stop at Taco Time after the hair appointment :)
Aren’t these flowers AMAZING? Fun story : we went to Pike Place Market with buckets the day before the wedding and picked everything out. Her bridesmaids and assorted friends helped put together the bouquets (let me repeat that – the DAY BEFORE. How awesome is that?)
Lindsay is a librarian, and our good friend Chris (who was a “brides-man”) makes the most fabulous wedding cakes. It was a match made in heaven :) The cake table was unreal! And yes, that is a gigantic cupcake-shaped cake.
A few pirate cupcake wrappers for Brandon…
Jars of honey for favors…
LOVE this ring book!
A bluegrass band played as the guests filtered in…
Brandon’s brother made a handsome ring bearer.
The tears flowed as Lindsay walked down the aisle…
… which was lined with herbs picked from Brandon’s parents’ garden :)
When Lindsay & Brandon sang together during the ceremony, everyone cried.
I LOVED these artistically-folded books!
They cut the cake with a machete. They are that cool.
Lindsay & Brandon – I love you guys so much. Thank you thank you thank you for letting me be a part of your amazing day!
Also, stay tuned for their day-after session (location – EVERYWHERE in Seattle :) coming soon!

[...] Lindsay & Brandon got married in Seattle, and one of the most delightful parts for me about the trip was having them show me around! They both know the city so well, and the day after the wedding, we went exploring and went EVERYWHERE. We pretty much hit every major tourist point in Seattle in a matter of hours. It was a blast! We started out at Gasworks Park, which I loved: [...]

Molly, what lovely pictures…from a lovely photographer. That Brandon is such a handsome guy! I love all the pictures, but the one of Linds at Taco TIme is as much a treasure as the more formal pictures. Truly one of the best all around weddings I’ve been to (really, no bias at all). Well done Brandon and Linds!!

More beautiful than I could have imagined!
boy, your photos are incredible. the couple is gorgeous and rachel clearly has a connection w/the camera. loved the vintage styling of the shots in the vineyard – looks like a magazine shoot- rustic, simple, elegant and beautiful – i’m sure the wedding will be incredible!
Oh my, the backlighting on the first shot is amazing! And the Coke? What an awesome shoot. :)
