Part two of Matt & Sara’s excellent wedding on a beautiful, snowy day at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs! I loved the cap guns as they were pronounced husband & wife (they also made for a very interesting reception :)
You know me – the guns were my favorite part!
I love how crazy fun it got on the dance floor…

Sara & Matt had a projector set up to play snowboarding videos during the reception – great idea!
Thanks so much, you guys! What a fun, beautiful day. You’re wonderful and I completely enjoyed shooting your wedding :)

Sara and Matt had one of the FUNNEST weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting! They are a super fun, photogenic, and laid-back couple, and they got married at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs on February 18th, 2010 on a gorgeously cold winter wonderland day – big fat snowflakes at just the right times. It was awesome for me to meet their close group of friends, who are all so loving, and fun, and amazing dancers :), and quickly came to feel like my own friends. Their wedding was so unique – complete with custom engraved beer mug favors, a great selection of indie music with some Tupac sprinkled in (yay!), snowboarding videos projected on a big screen during the reception, and cap guns for the guests to shoot in celebration when they were pronounced husband and wife. There was a heavenly abundance of good beer. Since they decided to do a First Look and see each other before the ceremony, we had time to head down to Benson’s, one of their favorite vintagey pubs in Salida, for a Mad Men- inspired shoot (much to the entertainment of all the old men hanging out at the bar at 2 pm on a Thursday :) Needless to say, I LOVE this wedding! More coming soon :)
Venue: Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort : Nathrop, CO
Hair & Makeup : Tomi’s Salon
DJ: Deano Maes
Dress: David’s Bridal
Flowers: Brady’s West
The first look in Mt. Princeton’s meadow…

This next one is one of my favorite shots of the day! First Looks are always so sweet & intimate.
Model material!
I love this idea! Their photo table held framed photos of other family members on their wedding days. So sweet!
The first wedding I’ve been to with a basket full of guns at the door. I guess it’s an old Colorado pioneer tradition? If you know me, you’ll know how in love I am right now.
I asked Sara’s brother if I could borrow his beer for this shot because it was unopened. He said something about breaking my arm off. I gave it back.
Thank you SO MUCH, Sara & Matt! I love you guys and I can’t wait to hang out soon. Two words: DANCE PARTY.

Beautiful couple…so much love apparent in these photos. I love the collage shots, Molly! You have a unique perspective that I really like…so much so that I am going to dust off my cameras and find the love of photography again. Thank you for the inspiration!

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Shelly & Daniel’s engagement session on a cold, windy day in Boulder. Their wedding will be at the FABULOUS Della Terra Chateau in Estes Park this summer, and I can’t wait to shoot there again! This engagement session was a ton of fun, and their enthusiasm and excitement (despite to frigid temps) was contagious. We realized toward the end of the shoot that we had kind of an unintentional retro storefront theme going on… love it! Thanks so much guys! I had so so much fun moving around heavy restaurant tables & playing around in abandoned amphitheaters with you :)
Ohmigosh… we were in the process of crossing the street when I looked back over my shoulder and saw this excellent Mexican restaurant glinting in the sunlight and I made us all turn around. I don’t know who Juanita is, but I’m kind of in love with her for having such a sweet storefront. Haha… it was perfect. And now I really want to go someplace warm and sunny :)

WOW!!!! Those turned out awesome! Molly, we had sooooo much fun with you last weekend! I can't wait till the wedding shoot! And if you're in the area before that we should just get together to hang out!

Molly, you’re simply wonderful. I love them!! (Except the placement of my right hand in the last one… :) ) Not that I’m surprised, but they’re absolutely gorgeous and colorful! Good job. And it actually looks like I had no trouble blowing those bubbles… ;)
AHHH! I love how we get the progression of you two having innocent childish fun to the sexy make-out in the river picture! love it!
